A Message from Debbie Cunningham, Four Oaks Women's Ministry Director
The measure of our success as women has been skewed; it is time for a shift in our perspective. Our loving Father wants us to live a life of success His way!
I invite you to join others from the Tallahassee area to learn from Carolyn what it means to be a successful, Christian woman living a life honoring to God at every stage and in all situations. At the conference you will hear an overview of women’s work throughout many eras, an exploration of what it means to be made a woman in the image of God who is to be fruitful at home and work, and some ideas about how to apply these concepts in various stages of life. Since the true measure of success isn’t based on any human standard, you will not hear any templates for professional or personal success.
I look forward to seeing you October 2nd and 3rd at Four Oaks Community Church for A Women’s Weekend with Carolyn McCulley: The Measure of Success.
In God’s Mercy and Grace,

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE MEASURE OF SUCCESS
“Issues surrounding women and work are seldom discussed. The Measure of Success takes a helpful look at the question. It counters the popular notion that the location of our work and the money we receive for it is the definition and measure of our success. The Lord wants us to be good stewards of all the relationships and resources He’s given us. Whether you work at home and/or in the marketplace,
The Measure of Success will challenge you to be a creative, fruitful, industrious woman who invests what you’ve been given for the glory of God.” —Mary Kassian, author of Girls Gone Wise and The Feminist Mistake
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
- Are married or single
- Are young or old
- Work inside the home or in the marketplace
- Have children
- Don’t have children
This conference is for you! Carolyn will present a rich vision for fulfillment through an understanding of the compelling foundation for the Biblical call of productivity. Far from the stone-throwing arguments that often occupy the discussion around women, work, and
the home, Carolyn will show how the redemptive message of the gospel allows the Bible’s teaching on the role of women to coexist with ambition. She creates a fresh vision for the profit we all gain from encouraging the female contribution in the home, society, and church.
QUESTIONS FOR TODAY’S CHRISTIAN WOMAN
- What does it mean to be a woman made in the image of God?
- What do the Scriptures say about work?
- Can a woman be feminine, godly, and ambitious?
- Should a woman work?
- Is work only for women who need the income?
- Is there any sanctified ground between the stay-at-home mom and the aspiring executive?
At A Women’s Weekend with Carolyn McCulley, we will explore these questions and more.
As a woman, have you ever wondered whether you are living a life that most glorifies God? If so, A Women’s Weekend with Carolyn McCulley is for you! Based on her book, The Measure of Success, Carolyn will tackle the stereotypes and one-size-fits-all thinking that have left women struggling to understand how to balance their roles in the home and work place.
